But reality had different plans. Despite his academic achievements, he found himself jobless, lost, and unsure of what to do next.

With nothing in hand and no clear direction, Ayyappan wandered from one opportunity to another, searching for purpose. During this period of struggle, he met his guru, Kanchi Periva Jagadguru Sri Jayendra Saraswati Shankaracharya Swamigal. Periva saw something in Ayyappan that even he couldn't see in himself and guided him toward a new path—to bring divinity into people’s lives through art.
